Registration Open for 2017 Multimedia Symposium
The Multimedia Symposium will be held August 8 – 9, 2017 at the Embassy Suites, Newark, DE and the University of Delaware Library.
The symposium will feature a keynote speaker each day, along with panel presentations, discussions groups, and a Five Minutes of Fame. The afternoon of August 9 is for optional hands-on workshops related to multimedia software, media literacy teaching techniques and equipment.
Building upon the success of the Student Multimedia Design Center and the feedback from our colleagues interested in media production/commons spaces in academic libraries, this symposium organized by the University of Delaware Library is designed to inspire managers, librarians and staff to plan for or progressively re-envision these spaces in your library. Attend for:
- hands-on software and media production concept workshops;
- management discussion of budgeting, staffing and training for media production spaces;
- sharing trends related to new production equipment, software, and associated furniture;
- inspiration specifically in allowing students to be creative and in our field of librarianship; and more.
