Register Now for the PALCI “Collective Collection” Member Meeting

April 24, 2015

Registration is now open for the 2015 Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium (PALCI) Member Meeting, to be held June 9-10, 2015, at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College. See the PALCI website for registration and program details.

Hosted by the Penn State Libraries, the theme of this year’s member meeting is Our PALCI Collective Collection. The shift from print to electronic collections gives PALCI member libraries a unique opportunity to address how they will transform their work together for heightened research and patron support. Lorcan Dempsey, Vice President, Research, and Chief Strategist at OCLC, will be the keynote speaker, reporting on the findings from the OCLC Office of Research’s analysis on the evolution of collecting behaviors, reported in their Collection Directions paper located here.

There will also be updates from the PALCI working groups on e-books, shared print archives, and E-ZBorrow, plus an opportunity to discuss technology directions to support the PALCI collective collection.

Library directors and collection managers are especially encouraged to attend.
